Our founder, A.F. (Sonny) Bush, began in the glove manufacturing business in 1967 with Star Glove Company. Early on, his customers included GM, Ford, Chrysler and other automotive related industry. Over the years his customers’ needs changed. They needed not just gloves, but a company that could provide expertise and cost-cutting ideas for all of their safety equipment requirements.

In 1992 Mr. Bush and his son, Kevin Bush, left Star Glove Company and formed Indiana Safety Company in Mr. Bush’s spare bedroom. Their goal was to not only save their customers money, but to provide their customers with one source for all of their safety and PPE needs.
